Re: beneficiary

Depending on the terms of the will and the nature of a beneficiary's interest the beneficiaries have certain rights to oversee the due administration of an estate by the personal representative. Since the PR has liability for what he/she does in the estate the PR is entitled to be released by all the beneficiaries before making a distribution. Therefore it is the practice to provide an accounting to the beneficiaries and to ask each of them to sign a release of the PR before giving them the property from the estate.
