Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Colorado

Pre-Se needs appellate research HELP

I am filing an appeal Pro-Se as personal representative of my late husbands estate. I do not live anywhere near a law library, except for the courthouse library with no librarian on duty.

I have spent two days on the net trying to find the Pacific Reporter, 2d series, to look up Colo. and Colo. App. cases, in order to show cause. I am seriously in need of Marriage of Forsberg, 783 P 2d 283 (Colo 1989). Is there anyway I can get the Pacific Reporter on the net. All I can find is recent cases for members of CBA, I need much older cases. Please advise if at all possible.

If your courthouse liabrary doesn't have the Pacific Reporter, it should at least have a copy of the Colorado Reporter. The case can be found there too. Locate the 1989 volume of the Colorado Reporter and the case name in the index of that volume and you should find what your looking for. Good Luck!

Not on Internet for Free

If I could get the S.E.2d, A.2d, S.O.2d, P.2d for free on the internet, I would not be forced to pay thousands and thousands of dollars per year to Westlaw and Lexis. I do not think there is an internet library that yet carries same. Some years ago students at various law schools started compiling e libraries. Emory University Law School now has about every federal case from 1995 forward on the net. At some point, but not now, most of the state and federal cases will be compiled by someone and placed on the Net. If you find where to get the P.2d for free on the Net, email me. I want a copy too.
