Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

Defamation of Character?

My ex-best friend told my former employer which she still works for, that she feels threatened by the emails that I sent her. I have never sent any threatening emails to her. Now that company called me at my new place of employment and told me that I'm no longer allowed to contact anyone from that company by email because this girl feels threatened. This is not the first time she has done this. My other former employer which she also worked with me at, advised me when I left that I could no longer visit or call the office because she felt threatened. I have never threatened this girl and I'm really in anguish that she is accusing me of being this kind of person and getting everyone involved. I'm the only one suffering friendship losses and feeling like an idiot for something I did not do. What can I do about this matter?

Re: Defamation of Character?

Try to mediate this issue, b/c obviously unless she is mentally ill, it takes two to tango and something has got her goat.

Re: Defamation of Character?

File this one under no-brainer: forget about the girl and forget about contacting her ever again. There must be a job out there where you don't have to work with her. Good luck finding it.
