Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

Can the government prevent a creditor from foreclosing on a home where an elderly and disabled Medicaid recipient is receiving medical care, when foreclosure would deprive the elderly of medical care and leave the elderly homeless?

Governments do not generally get involved directly to stop a foreclosure.

You should contact a HUD approved counselor to get assistance with your foreclosure and to get legal counsel. You may also want to contact the Colorado Legal Services and see if you qualify for legal assistance.

Good luck.
