Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

Minor Alcohol Consumption: Keep license?

I am 17 and was arrested for pulling a light out of the ground. I had been jumped earlier at a party and was going from the house the party was at to the house I was staying at. I pulled the light ut of the ground due to frustration, and some cops jumped out of the bushes surrounding it. I blew a .103 BAC, was written a ticket for consumption of alcohol by a minor, curfew violation, and destruction of property. Can you tell me the possible outcome of my hearing? I am told I will probably lose my license, but there may be a chance of keeping it. How can I help ensure I keep my license, at it is very vital.

It's a little too late to talk about your license being vital.

You need to confer with your attorney,--don't go into another hearing without asking for one if you don't have one already.

You MAY be able to negotiate your ticket down to something else, but given the destructive nature of WHY the cops "jumped out of the bushes" and the extremely high level of alcohol in your system, yes, you're likely to lose your license.
