Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Exploitation of a Child.. FBI Investigation

Just before Thanksgiving I was interviewed by the FBI for the Explotation of a Child. The FBI said they were follwing a lead from Yahoo.com in a chat room that I had illegal pornography. I admitted to having it for a few months but deleteing it from a yahoo photo book. And the log in names I used were closed well of 2 years ago.

The FBI made me try to log into those old log-in names but they came back closed from yahoo. They confiscated my laptop and desktop and said they would be in contact with me in a ''few'' months. I got a letter from the FBI telling me I can get my computers back so i provided all the ownership information and they will be sending my computers back to me. There should have been zero illegal photos on those pc's.

If they dont find anything can i still be charged? And if they did (which they won't) why would they be offering to send the pc's back to me?

Since I admited to having it but deleteing it, am I still just as in trouble since there is NO fisical evidence?

I asked the FBI agent for evidence and he said they were following up on a lead from Yahoo.com and a internet chat room, but didnt have any fiscal pictures.

Thanks,

If they are willing to return the item, get the item back. I would not make any statements to the FBI or any other police agency without an attorney.
