Two days before your trial the judge
and the prosecutor is changed should
you postpone your trial?
Re: jay
I've been in that situation before, and it worked to my advantage in getting a much better deal than the scheduled prosecutor offered. The only advantage in postponing is to suss out information on the players, and depending on whether you know what to do with that info, it may not be that big a deal.
Good luck.
Re: jay
Depending on seriousness of the charge, the prosecutor may not be ready, so you may be better off at trial sooner. If it is a 5th or 6th class felony or any misdemeanor, the prosecutor will likely choose to go forward. I don't think you will get a continuance, unless the judger or DA want it.
