Hi, I got a MIP last night, there seemed to be two things wrong with this, One, he got my Address wrong, as well as my zip code, the second thing was he set my court date 10 days from the date I received the ticket, I want to say in Colorado the ticket has to be 30 days away from the court date. please help, im freaking out because if this ticket does go through I will not be able to go to the Air Force. The police officer also put possession of Indica as well.

Essentially the things the cops needs to get right is:

Your name

When and where to show up

What you're charged with.

Outside of that, the court will usually forgive any other errors on the summons.

As far as the appearance date, it can be for the day after. There is no minimum number of days between the date you receive the summons and when you must appear.
