sexoffender laws

I was charged with failing to register as a sexoffender in 2003 in Colorado even though i was not living in the state at the time. In 2008 i returnef to Colorado and went in to register at which time i was arrested for the outstanding warrant. do they have to prove that i was living in the state at the time the warrent was issued?

according to 16-22-105, a colorado sex offender is required to register in any state or jurisdiction that they live. So, if you did not register in the other state, you may be in trouble.

all the sex offender registry laws are at 16-22-101 to 115.

the criminal statute is 18-3-412.5

They have to prove that you did not register in whatever state you were living in at the time. If you registered in your state of residence in 2003, you should meet the registration requirement.
