The short answer is that most judges will give credit for pre-hearing confinement time against a sentence resulting from a violation of the terms of your probation (in your case failure to pay restitution).

It also depends on the underlying sentence; specifically if the judge originally suspended any jail time.

Finally, if you are asking if the court will zero out the restitution amount because you went to jail, the answer is no. If your probation comes to an unsuccessful close, the restitution amount will get turned over to a collection agency.
