Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

new court date

I am in the middle of a custody case, I currently have full custody of my three year old daughter. I have a final court date February 27 2008. I have new information on my ex which i think could harm my daughter, and would like to hire an attorney. Will the judge give me a new court date to give the attorney time to review my case and get more info regarding some things my ex has been doing?

Re: new court date

Maybe. At this point a competent attorney could get up to speed on your case by the court date. However, if this information leads to additional hearings, or appointment of a CFI then your final orders hearing would likely be post-poned. Give us a call, we'd be happy to help.
