I need to file for a divorce in the sate of Colorado and have a child. I am unable to locate the father and need to know steps I need to take in order to make this happen please help

You should file a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage. You can find a petition at any court clerk's office, or online at the Colorado Court website. You will need to file the petition with the district court for the county in which you live. You can figure out which district court applies to you by looking at the Colorado Court website. Before the file the petition, however, you should consult with an attorney to make sure you're completed it fully and completely.
