Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

I am getting married to someone in DOC. He has a very large restitution attached to his sentence. Is there any way to insure that I will not be held responsible for paying any of his restitution?

Yes, but it will require a release from the holder of the restitution order. There are other documents as well that will further protect your separate property interests.
