Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Reasonable and Prudent Parenting

My son was in an accident in August where he suffered a brain injury. The Nuero Sureon told his mother and I he was not to participate in any physical activities for at least 6-8 months. He lives in Colorado with his mother, I live in Virginia. His mother called tonight to inform me that my son had hit his head while being pulled on a sled behind a four wheeler. They were enroute to the hospital. What are my rights as a Father? How can I protect my son from this type of negligent parenting? What can I do legally?

Re: Reasonable and Prudent Parenting

You could probably petition the appropriate court which has jurisdiction over the issue of custody for a modification of the current order(assuming that there is such)and request that you be awarded full temporary custody of your son for at least the next year.
