I am seeking advice on how to file abandonment on my ex there has been no contact since 2005. And also we are originally from Texas and ive lived in Colorado for 2 years would I be able to file here? And my husband wishes to adopt the children. Thank you

You would do this as part of a step parent adoption filed in Colorado. You will need to provide your ex notice of the proceedings or convince the Court you have used diligent efforts to find him and give notice by publication. You should consider working with an experienced attorney.
