Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

My son who I have custody of spends about 10% of his time with his mother. When in her care she attempted suicide and is now in ICU. I'm in fear of my son's safety when in her care now. Is this considered child abuse? What can I do to protect my son? Please help!

It could be child abuse depending on the circumstances and you could report the incident to child protective services. You also can file a motion to restrict parenting time if you fear for your child's safety. A motion to restrict parenting time, if granted, would result in an order that her parenting time with the child be supervised, either professionally or by people/family you trust (the professional supervision can run $50 per hour, fyi). Hope this helps.
