Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Visitation Issues

My child custody order is in Colorado. I am the custodial parent. I live in Washington, my ex lives in Colorado. My son went to live with ex 2 years ago and papers were never changed. There is a stipulation in the court order that we are to alternate purchasing airline tickets for visitation. My ex is refusing to pay and it's her turn to purchase the tickets. What recourse do I have?

Re: Visitation Issues

I think you are going to have to address all of this in Colorado. The order is there (and the child is residing there, with your consent, even though he/she should be in Washington with you as the custodial parent). Along the way you may want consider modifying the parenting plan (custody order) to reflect the current situation.
