Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

Looking for an attorney in Denver for the following civil case: I live in CA and have been sued by an individual who invested in a project in CA (a "cannabis grow room" set up under the laws of CA, and now shut down), who is now alleging that it was a loan (amount in contention is 15k, original amount was 20k with 5k (partial return of investment) having been returned back to Plaintiff). Plaintiff's check was made out to a small business trust with no other assets than a bank account, of which I am the trustee (and the expenses for the grow were paid out of), so I can't appear for the Trust; however there is no contract, loan docs or agreement of any type between the parties, other than a series of email updates from myself to Plaintiff showing growth progress of the room. Also, this complaint has been filed under the CO Civil access Pilot Project, etc. so it's in a fast track format.
