Phone text harrasement

Have been recieving harrasing text messages for the past 6 months, also had a nasty letter dropped off at my residence a few weeks ago. Is there anything I can do?

Inform the person that you're really not thrilled with the notes and letters that they've been sending, and that if they send one more you'll turn the lot over to the police for consideration of charges.
