Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Colorado

Patent Infringement

I am an inventor with a product I would like to market, but have questions about the possibility of patent infringement. During my searches on google patent I came across a patent from several years back that has a one characteristic similar in my invention. I still believe my invention differs enough in its novel aspect. Should I consult a patent attorney even if I do not have the capital to file for a patent?

Yes, I would definitely recommend you discuss this with a patent attorney. Determining infringement is difficult. The money you spend could save you a great deal of trouble later.

Filing patent application is quite complex. It is recommended that you consult a patent attorney for this.

Before you file a patent, it is necessary that a prior art search is conducted. Your patent application is required to be drafted maliciously, and prescisely, so that the novelty of your invention becomes apparent, and distinguished itself as an new invention from other existing works.

All patents in United States are governed under Title 35 of the US Code
