rearended a person who now claims fault on me

I hit a perons vehicle-slow impact-and she went into surgery for lower back.Is this a commen type injury,and how must I proceed?

First, your insurance carrier should be handling this for you. That is why you have insurance. If she does file suit against you, speak to an attorney immediately, even if your carrier does defend the action from their position. Given the likely difficultly of prevailing on the merits of her case, though, I doubt this will ever mature into anything serious.

Low impact collisions in newer cars with energy-asorbing bumper systems can be severe at times.

She will have to present solid medical evidence that her back problems are solely as a direct consequence of the collision.

Why is your insurance company not handling this?
