Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

My girlfriend and I bought a home together. The agreement was we split everything 50/50. The down payment and the tax refund also. We did that but now that we are broken up and she is keeping the house does she have to buy my half of what I put into the house?

Did you put your agreement in writing? If so then you can force a "partition" (division of interests). If not then you may have problems. Another issue is how you took title (tenants in common, joint tenancy, etc.)
