Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

Using a lien to collect past due homeowner association dues

One of the owners of a unit in my condominium has not paid his Homeowners Association Dues for quite some time. How do we place a lien on his condominium to encourage him to bring his payments up to date? Are there any other steps we could take to enforce compliance with the condominium's bylaws?

Re: Using a lien to collect past due homeowner association dues

The Homeowners Association can record an Assessment Lien against the property after giving the notice required under their Bylaws or Rules & Regulations. They can then file a Foreclosure action if the lien is not paid. I do this several times a year for other associations. If the Association wants to retain me, they should call for an appointment - 970-668-1949.
