Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

Retrieving Personal Property

My wife and I have our wedding presents stored at her father's house in Colorado (we reside in CA). Our relationship with him is not very good and we are not on speaking terms. We have tried to contact him via e-mail and certified mail to arrange to pick up our possesions. He has not answered any of our messages or responded to our letter. We are wondering what steps we should follow to most easily get our property returned to us. We would like to keep this out of court if possible, but do not know what other options we have to have our possesions returned. What would you suggest as a course of action?

Re: Retrieving Personal Property

Is there a friend or relative that can intercede for you and mediate to get the wedding presents released to you?
