Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

quick claim deed

in Colorado USA, does a Quick Claim deed overrule a Lat Will and Testament? My mother is bed ridden and can't leave the house to see a Lawyer.

Re: quick claim deed

The term is "quitclaim," as in an ending to claim on the property, not "quick."

Speak with an estate attorney in your mother's community. A house call may be possible. You will get better information.

The answer to your question is yes, if someone gives away property during life, they do not own it anymore, and therefore it is not in their estate. This may not be the best estate planning in the circumstances. Consult with an attorney.
