I work at home depot and a door fell out of the overhead on me. It took the managers 3 hours to take me to the hospital, where I was left with no way home. I have been to the doctor everyday since, he relesed me to work, but I have restictions that make me just sit on my ''can''. did home depot do anything wrong and do I have leagal recorse aginst them?

Re: On the job injury

CRS 8-42-101(1)(a) says that the employee must give the employee medical care "as may reasonably be needed at the time of the injury."

If it was unreasonable to wait or to leave you there, then they would be in the wrong. Certainly, if the wait increased your injury. Was there any reason why they waited - anything that you said or did to make them wait - why not call an ambulance? etc. What are your damages? How many days were you out of work? Does your job pay the same now that you can only sit on your "can?" Does this injury prevent you from working a different job that you normally would work?
