Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Connecticut

Credit Cards I can't pay

I have been unemployed for over a year and can no longer pay my credit cards. I have no income and no house and no car. I owe about $15K in credit cards and have a past tax bill. Should I file bankruptcy or just tell my credit card company I can no longer pay? Can they pursue legal action if I do not pay? Are there advantages to filing bankruptcy vs. just not paying?

It doesn't hurt to consider all your options. You may be elgible for bankruptcy and simply discharge all your debt or you may want to negotiate down your debt. You do want to avoid debt settlement organizations that are scams. If you would like a free consultation please contact me at 203.521.4915.
