Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

Car purchase - error on the purchase order issued by dealership

I purchased a new vehicle at a dealership. I have a signed

purchase order with an unpaid balance and a $1500 deposit paid

by my credit card. The dealership contacted me the day before

the car is to be picked up and informed me that the purchase

order had an error and I now owe them $5000 more. I want to

know how liable the dealership is to the price on the purchase

order/contract which we both signed.

Without seeing the documents it is difficult to determine what type of mistakes have been made, but if you are using financing to purchase the vehicle it sounds like there is an issue of Truth in Lending Act here. If there are TILA violations you are entitled to an award of up to $1,000.00 and your attorney fees paid. There are other issues to consider as well. Do you still want the vehicle.
