harassment,slander,sexual harassment

at my job a supervisor has told many people that i have had a sex change,i was a man and now i am a woman. i am in a position where respect is needed and feel that it has been taken away. it is now being spread through my community. is there anything i can do to make this stop.. i have been humiliated and now only work 2 days a week there because of this i have reported it to my supervisor and nothing has been done. this has been ongoing for months and the rumors are becomming widespread

If the statement is true, then you may have an action for invasion of privacy or similar. if it is not, you may have a case for slander, also. Check with a personal injury lawyer in your town.
