Presidencial Oath of office

Does the vice-president automatically become president upon the death of a president --- or must he first take the oath of office as prescribed by the constitution?

Re: Presidencial Oath of office

He automatically becomes president. He will be expected to take the oath of office as soon as possible, but if there is a dire emergency requiring immediate presidential action he can act before being officially sworn in.
