Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut

I agreed to sell my vehicle to an old friend. This person has not paid me even she has the vehicle. It has been 6 months and she has caused me to ruin my credit because I still owed on the vehicle. Now after hundreds of attempted to collect she is not returning my calls, emails , or text. I don\'t know what to do. Should I call the police and report it as stolen or is it worth taking legal action?

You can do both. You should explain everything to a detective and he/she will let you know if it's considered stolen. You can also file suit against her in small claims court up to $5000.00. Otherwise, you can file in Superior Court.
