Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Connecticut

I worked for New york city board of education six years ago. They are now saying they overpaid me six years ago and want it paid back. I now work in CT. Do I have to pay it back.

If this was a CT case it most likely is a 2 year statute of limitations and at the most, a six year statute of limitation. This means they must file suit within that time frame otherwise they are barred.

This appears to be a New York case, so you should seek an answer from a New York lawyer.
