Legal Question in DUI Law in Connecticut

Dwi

Can I request a continuance. I just enrolled in a alcohol rehab program. What do I have the right to request? I just don't know what to expect the morning I go to court.

Re: Dwi

You haven't provided much information, but I am assuming this is your first court date. If so, then you will in all probability get a continuance. If you have never been stopped for DWI before, you may be able to keep from getting a criminal record for this arrest. For further information, I suggest you look at the "Driving While Intoxicated" section of the Criminal Law page of my website, www.SerranoLawyers.com. Be sure to click on the "DWI Penalties" button on the right as well. You can call my office Monday morning if you would like to discuss your situation further. You can also send me an eMail ([email protected]) with more information about your case such as whether you have been arrested before for DWI, whether there was an accident, where you were stopped, what your breathalyzer readings were, which cout you have to go to, how old you are and if you have been arrested for anything else before. If you send an email, please provide a phone number where I can reach you.
