cant afford jeep given in divorce

the loan and registration is in ex-wife name. cant be changed over but i cant afford jeep payments. in decree it states i am responsible to pay loan, taxes, and insurance. what can happen if i cant pay for jeep anymore. it isnt my credit.

You could be held in contempt of court if you don't comply with the divorce decree. However, there must be a "willful" noncompliance. It's questionable whether the fact you can't afford it and fail to make the payments is "willful."

My best suggestion is to sell it.
