Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Child Support case

Child support modification case. Ex-wife has family member attorney reresenting her for free. I have already spent $6000 and the case hasn't really begun yet. I will have to go pro se. I am not good at talking or explaining myself. Can my wife help me and sit with me before the judge ask questions etc.

Also if the motion just argued goes against us can I sue my attorney for fees as I do not think I was repesented well and think my attorney made mistakes.

Re: Child Support case

First, you have to line your ducks up in order to prepare for the hearing. After the hearing, you can consider asking your previous attorney for the return of some of the fees. Usually there is a retainer agreement setting forth the charges. If you need help, you can email me at [email protected].
