family law child custody

how do I get a new judge for my modification of child custody, I feel the judge that sat on my divorce trial is bias and prejudice.

How do you know you will be getting the same judge who sat on your divorce trial. Most districts have more than one judge and you really don't know who you will get.

It's very difficult to win a "recusal" of a judge. Just because the judge came across as bias to you, or prejudice,this may not be enough to recuse him/her. Judges are allowed to size up a party's credibility and make decisions based upon that opinion. Unfortunately, the system is not perfect.
