Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

What is the legal financial obligation of the husband living with his wife as far as any bills are concerned? He receives $2,100.00 a month between Pension and S.S. She on the other hand receives $500.00 a month. She did receive an inheritance a few years ago which is dwindling due to her contribution to paying household bills.

You probably can not enforce any rights she has as a spouse without her filing a separation action or a divorce action.
