Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I reside in CT and the non custodial parent resides in MS. I have reported him to CT child enforcement here in CT. It has been several years of non payment. last checked he owed in the amount of $36000 (rounded down) I have called the CT office several times over the years and they continue to tell me that it all depends now on the state of MS actions. CT claims that all the case info has been forwarded to MS. I've provided his address several times. I currently know exactly where is is living. Do I have any legal standings here to take additional action on my own? Any options other than just letting the years pass by with nothing, no info and no payments.

Yes you can do something on your own. You do not have to wait for MS or CT to do anything. You have the right to pursue the noncustodial parent who owes you the money. You have the right to file the appropriate motion and pursue collection on your own.
