Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

Auto Repair: Tire Flew off after it was changed

I had two new tires, placed on my car by a nationwide chain. After driving for about 5 miles or so and turning a corner at low speeds. My tire flew off. My car was on its left front rotor and dragged about 40 feet. I am more upset that my life could have been in serious danger since I was on the highway..thankfully I got off after feeling this shaking in my car. This is a huge issue of negligence..What legal recourse do I have? Should I look at something bigger than small claims court?

Small claims is limited to damages of $5,000 or less. You need your car repaired and I would be surprised if the store refused to pay for it. It sounds like you would like to pursue punitive damages, but you would need to determine the most likely cause for your tire flying off in order to do that. A third party should examine the car if you want to go that route.
