Can I hold CT School of Electronics liable for the theft of my vehicle?

A student/s and or the assistance of class teacher from this school was repairing my car. I paid for all the parts. I was paying him upon completion. He tells me car's ready (within 15 mins. of work left, after 3 months of car being there),tomorrow. I call the next day he doesn--name removed--answer. He calls Mon. tells me my car's stolen. He tells police car wasn--name removed--drivable because battery wasn--name removed--installed no gear oil no cable. The car was found stripped on street corner. Battery was installed windows down and ignition was pulled. The automotive class had about 25 cars in their possession including mine. What can I do?

Sorry to hear about your loss. If you had comprehensive auto insurance you could make a claim. Also, the school and/or the students may be liable for the loss. What has the school said about the matter? Did you sign any documents when you left the car with them? I would be willing to discuss the matter further with you.
