Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut

I recently submitted all my paperwork for AOS, however I put my name as the last name, but I would like to receive all my documents such as EAD, and other corresponding documents with my last name, the same as his last name. Should I call USCIS when I receive the receipt number asking them to change my last name on my paperwork to his last name?

You may try calling USCIS but a proper way to do a name change it to put it on the initial applications. Changing name in the middle of the case might not be successful because all data is initially entered as you put it on the applications. You may also request a name change during the interview at USCIS. Contact an immigration lawyer to prepare you for the interview: it is not as easy as it looks.
