International student and egg donation
Hello,
I just wonder if I can donate eggs, for which I will get a financial compensation, even though I am in the US as an international student? Is donating eggs considered to be work? Thank you
Regards,
Zuzana
Re: International student and egg donation
This is an interesting question. Your eggs are your personal property. While your immigration status may prevent you from earning income as an employee, it should not prevent you from profiting from selling property; i.e., your eggs. It would be equivalent to buying land or stocks or other securities in the U.S., then selling at a profit. You may owe taxes on the capital gains for selling your property, however.
