I was recently fired from my job but i worked long enough to earn my 5 day paid vacation does my old employer still have to pay me for that earned time off

It depends on the terms and conditions of your employment agreement, but generally if you have accrued time off at the time you were discharged, you may be able to file a claim for the time through the Connecticut State Department of Labor. You would need proof of the accrued time, a pay stub and whatever other information they request. Further, depending on the reasons for termination, you may have a claim against your employer. I would strongly suggest you consult with an attorney.
