Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

Hi I gave a builder money for buildouts on a portion of a building that he was constructing for a restaurant when I gave him the money construction was well under way and the building is about half complete but has stopped with no movement for about two years with him telling me that he will complete it just hang in there. We have signed leases stateing what the funds were for and cancelled checks. Need to know what recorse I have if any.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou,

If I am correct, you state that you paid the contractor funds, he started the construction, then stopped and two years have passed?

Since I would need a lot more facts to evaluate the situation, my first thought is you may have a cause of action against the contractor.
