Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

My husband and I had a choice. Either Get evicted or move out. We could not afford the apartment anymore. I lost my job due to my company closing. Unemployment ran out. Now we are getting bills for $5300.00 they say we owe. We don,t have the money. If we did we would still be living there and not in my daughters basement.

Thank you

I don't think there is a question there. You don't have the money. You can not pay. What do you want to know? Can they pursue you? Yes. Can they collect? Not if you have no money. They can get a judgment against you and execute on it. They can they garnish your wages, bank account or property.
