Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

I am a pro se Plaintiff in a tenant/LL case in CT and I am the tenant. I filed in small claims for my entire security that was withheld. The LL's got an atty involved who bumped it to superior court. I have been handling all the motions and pleadings on my own for over a yr now. I am ready to close the pleadings and claim for trial.....I am sure there will be a conference of some type with a judge and the other side to try and settle. I am looking for $1680 and he is countering for $1800. So let's meet in the middle right?

I know that my LL entered my condo and took pics of the 'damages' the day before I was to vacate...he also ignored my 2 written requests for a walk-thru.

My question is.. how do I handle myself as a pro se in a conference with the LL's atty there.. and how do I present the evidence I have to the judge?

If you are willing to "meet in the middle" then why don't you call the attorney and settle it.

If you can't meet in the middle you either need a crash course through law school or you need to hire an attorney
