Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

I was recently served with a Notice to Quit by my landlord. On the paperwork someone had take a pen or marker and written on one of the dates to the point where you couldn't read the date then photocopied it stamped it with the Marshals signature and served it to me. Then on the summary process there where about 6-7 typos that made it very confusing to me as to when to return the paperwork where to show up and what to do next. Can someone really change the date like that on a legal document and still consider it a binding contract? I have contacted the local court house and of course they tell me everything is ok but no offense I would like a second opinion.

Unfortunately I can't give you advice since I have to see the documents. Why don't you go down to the courthouse and ask the clerk what date you are supposed to appear in court on. Then you should bring up these defects with the judge. Most judges are fair and will throw it out if something is wrong with the papers.
