Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Since 1992, we have maintained property (continuance of our backyard), owned by previous neighbors. The property was purchased and the present owner/neighbors had survey done. They are of course claiming ownership on the property within the survey lines (including that which we have maintained for 9 years). Does Connecticut have a law that gives ownership to parties who have maintained property owned by a neighbor?
