Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Greetings!

My name is Robert. I have a friend who is not living at my apartment, but when he was moving last May,I said he could keep his belongings in my storage bin and apartment. I have asked him repeatably to remove all of his items, but he refuses to budge.

Can I legally give his stuff to charity or throw it out?

Send him a certified letter (or some form of notice that offers proof that he got it) giving him 30 days to get the stuff out, or you're going to put it at the curb, or put it in storage under his name.
