Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Connecticut

sexual harrasment at preivous job, what are my options?

I worked for a retail employer from 10/04-10/07. Personal information about my life made it into the open amongst the employees and since the beginning of my employment dubbed me with a sexually harassing nick-name. This name would carry on through the entirety of my employment. I was to affraid to complain to HR or file any suit because i was worried of losing my job and i needed it so i backed down from my options. I had asked over countless times to both employees and managment to have this stop from going on however, but even managers seemed to find this situation to be funny and entertaining and thus i was not taken seriously, they did not take any serious action nor was i ever encouraged to uptake my options through HR. At one point it was rumored that someone called HR on my behalf and managment seemed to finally start speaking to people but no one was ever truly repremanded for it which i could tell due to the fact it never in fact stopped. Due to one employees efforts it became standard for it to be known to all new-hires like some sick ongoing tradition. Though i dont work there any more i feel as though the company should still pay for this. Can anymore help me figure this out?

What were the terms of your leaving this job. Did you ever make an administrative complaint through HR? [email protected]
